I have the Bentley Publishing X5 manual. Pretty good.

Can't look at ebay from work, but I'd get the Bentley for sure. It had more detail on electrical cicuits than the WDS had!

Get the Bentley -
1 - you will need to bring the printed page to the car MANY times
2. the "pro" manuals assume you know more than you do and tell you to use "BMW TOOL #" - which you don't have!

Bentley manual also states use BMW special tools where applicable. Ask here, often there is another way to get it done, a rental tool or a tool that is 'inexpensive' that you can purchase to do the job.

Took the words right out of my mou... er, fingers. ;) Well, that link and a Bentley manual are all you'll need. And xoutpost.com, of course. Lots and lots of helpful real-world, non-BMW-tech information right here. Search and the How To's link (above) should be well exercised any time you have trouble with your X5.

OK I have a Bentley for my E46 already. Guess the price is worth it for my X5 also.

I checked this source out. I couldn't find a way to download it. I couldn't even print it unless I went one page at a time. What am I missing?
