Tranny temp gauge and fluid change

I'm going to do a tranny service and can anyone tell me how much fluid I should buy. Also I plan on doing a little bit of towing nothing to heavy but it would be nice to know what my tranny temp is. Has anyone hooked up a temp gauge before and how did you do it?

What version do you have? Without knowing that, can't help.
Do yourself a favor and put the SAV info in the signature.

go to CTSC and pick out your fluid change kit. Not affiliated, just a happy customer.

As for the tranny fluid temp, I'm a bit stuck other than to suggest that the next time you have the pan off, you can drill a hole and put in a temp sender (somehow). It needs to match the range of the gauge you are going to use. Make sure you check for interferences before drilling! Let us know if you go this way and what you did.
