2001 X5 Center Console Latch Issue
 

Is there anyone who can provide guidance regarding how one might repair the latch to the cellphone portion of my center console? The spring associated with the button for the top portion of the console is not pushing the button back up, nor is the top portion latching shut when it is pushed down. Does anyone know of a way to replace/fix the latch and or spring associated with the top portion's latch?

replace the whole assembly?
