HELP Parrot mki9200 ??? 2003 e53 X5

I have got a Parrot mki9200 bluetooth as a christmas present, is there a
"sot lead" that goes behind the head unit (radio, dvd, tv, no phone) that has
2 plugs attached attached to it (a blue plug and a white plug)?
if there is a sot lead?, does anyone know the sot lead number(s)?
Or does the parrot need to be connected/sot lead in the rear?

Thanks guys
regards
jaima

Not sure which lead you'll need, but yes, you'll need one I imagine as the Parrot comes with standard ISO connections and the X5 (well, mine anyway) has a Quadlock connector, but I have the Nav setup with the radio in the boot.

You need the bmw quadlock sot-976 lead, plus a 5m extension cord for the parrot blue box lead, you can get them off ebay. The radio tuner and amp are in the boot next to the battery and thats where the quadlock is but the blue box has to mount up the front. Factory nav is a pain tbh i wish mine never came with it.

Thanks mate for the reply and the info! re: the 5m extension lead
is it a standard extension lead or does that have a certain number/code?

You would think Parrot would supply their bluetooths with leads long enough
to reach the boot! they know a lot of vehicle makes and models have their
equipment in the rear.

Thanks again

Hi,
I have ran the long extension (into the parrot blue box)
but
I dont know where to plug the parrot extension into in the boot?
There is a little black box with a black plug connected to it
(plz see photos) is this where the other end of the parrot extension
connects to?
if yes, then would the parrot lead would need the locking
parts cut off to fit?
Also there is a black plug on the sot 976 harness (3 wires) with a Red pos, Black neg and Yellow wires,
could you plz tell me where this plug connects to?

I use a Grom for Bluetooth for my phone with the X and for streaming music from my phone to the X. I also have a cable for my eye pod. Installation was very simple, basically plug and play.

Thanks for the reply !
As for the black box (pic #3) and the parrot extension lead I disconnected
the plug on the box, it is not where the Parrot mki9200 connects to,
it appears to be for the suspension self leveling!

I think that the connection for the Parrot extension plug (pics # 2 & 3) might
be buried with all the OEM wire harnesses in the boot/rear but so far I have not managed to located it?
Too dark now to keep on searching to locate the wire harnesses,
Scottish winter time here.

I dont know yet if I might need to cut and splice the wires on the plug
in picture #1
I think those wires are for a permanent positive (red) ground (black)
and yellow for the ignition ?

Thanks again

Jaima,

I'm hopefully fitting mine tomorrow (though may be Monday).

The Radio unit should be to the left of the space with all the stuff beside the battery (looking from the back).
