50k miles is nothing.
|
i put about 1500-2000 miles a month - got the car about a year and half ago, with 66K, already rolled over 101K, did 3 oil changes since last May... My wife puts in 2000-2500 miles a month... these cars indeed meant to be driven... hard... that what keeps their blood flowing... lol...
|
Yeah, I never understood why people get upset when their cars' odometers passed milestones. They're meant to be driven. Isn't that why people get them? I can understand it from the impending high mileage maintenance requirements point of view though, haha.

I think the high mileage ones have the least number of problems, especially oil leaks.
2002 X5 3.0 243,000 miles 2004 325i 108,000 miles |
I have 148k on my 2004...
I won't bat an eye when it rolls 150k. |
Are y'all X y'all daily drivers?
|
My X is my daily driver, my nightly driver, and weekend driver too! Texas is big!
2002 X5 3.0 243,000 miles 2004 325i 108,000 miles My historical records: 1990 Mazda MPV 276,000 miles in 15 years 1995 Mazda 626 ES 106,000 miles in 5 years 1981 Bonneville 5.7L Diesel (Yes, diesel) 264,000 miles in 15 years |
My X is the extra car. I like it a lot though. My e39 (DD) has 242k and is in fantastic shape, better than the X with half the miles. Miles are no worry, just maintain it properly.

^Many E53 owners on here also own (or used to) an E39
