Loud exhaust ticket

Received a loud exhaust ticket last night. I wonder why  Anyway I was going up a pretty steep hill in 3rd gear at 4k rpms for a decent amount of time. The bubba wasn't a being a a-hole, he let me slide for tinted rear license plate. I told him what makes you think I can afford to pay tickets if I can't afford to get a brand name exhaust system (I have straight pipes). Gave him a chuckle, regardless I knew this was going to happen sooner or later. This ticket doesn't mean I'm going o install the res or muffler again, its staying how it is lol.

can't embed the video so heres a youtube clip: http://youtu.be/PreBCkbElZQ

You may want to try installing Moroso spiral flow race mufflers.

I had headers and straight pipes (no cats) on the sig Viper, LOUD and NASTY. Added a pair of the Moroso spiral flows and the nasty edge went away with a lower tone.

I'll look into, but as of now I like the sound. Last thing you'd expect to see making that noise is an X5 lol. Who knows maybe I'll get tired of it and have to install these. I could only imagine what came out of that viper that thing must of been loud as hell

Had to keep a box of earplugs in the golvebox for the ex-wife. On trips more then a 1/2 hr I had to put them in, because exhaust outlets are about 3' from your ear. Like riding in a 427 SC Cobra!

a bit nuts for my taste lol. Very loud.

I'm just messing with you man. You must be a few years younger than me, back in HS we used to think we were all the rage running tinted plate covers, but found out the cops really don't like them much at all. Regardless of if there are any other "illegal mods" on the car. My old VW was 5% tinted all around 10 years ago and the cop could have cared less about the windows, just wanted me to remove the tinted plate cover.

I've been running clear covers on my plates since then for the past 9 years with no problems from Johnny Law, less hassle for me is better.

Tinted plate covers=pulled over everywhere I've lived.

Even the clear covers get you stopped (the cop know these are to mask plates from red light cameras).
