Thumping Noise When Rolling Window Up
 

Hey guys my X has been having this weird problem when I roll the window up. When I click the button to roll the window up, it makes this thumping noise inside the door. Also, when it makes its way to the top, the window closes really hard. :dunno: Been happening like this ever since I brought my car to a smog shop a couple of months ago. Most likely the idiot messed up my car! :gun: Does anybody know what could be going on inside the door?

Read this link. It's most likely the plastic piece that is failing. I had the same symptoms on my driver's side door. Replaced the plastic clip...window works like new again. It's an easy DIY. Go slow if it's your first time.

I'd change it out sooner than later. If it falls apart completely, the window will be out of alignment and jammed--which will destroy the window regulator (a lot more expensive to fix).

Thanks will leave window closed for know till I have time to check out what's going on in there.
