Injector/Fuel Rail O Ring Replacement - How Difficult?

For those of you that have done this, how difficult is it? I'm going to try this fix to see if it remedies my cold start issues. TIA.

Cut the o-rings off the injectors instead of trying to save them. If you have the injectors out you should send them out to get rebuilt or rebuild them your self.

I rebuilt the injectors to my E34 when I had it. Replace the screen and pintle cap at the tip. If you have an old fuel pump you can run some injector cleaner through the injector. Just connect a 12 volt power source to the injector, run the fuel pump and pulse the injector.

Thanks Up. I'm going to have to leave the injectors alone for now. I'm just doing the o rings to see if it solves my starting problem.

When you go to put the injectors back in use a little bit of oil on the o-rings they slide back onto the injectors really easy and they go back into the intake manifold really easy compare to being dry.

Good advice, thanks.

When I did the upgraded injectors in my Z32, I used petroleum jelly (vaseline), not oil to lube the o-rings and injectors.

I've just finished cleaning my injectors and will be putting a dab of silicone spray on my new O rings when I put them back..
