where is our radio antenna?
 

My radio often looses "S" stereo reception and can't auto find stations, then at other times works fine. I want to make sure the antenna is properly connected - but where is it??

Embedded in the left rear window.

Since you are checking for poor connections, make sure you check the antenna signal booster amplifier as well.

Look at the diagram in realoem.com for your VIN under audio systems. Look at the 'diversity' antenna. Its a fairly complicated layout, under the 'visor' over the rear window, and subject to problems if moisture gets in there. Search hear and other bimmer sites for the 'diversity antenna' and it appears a fairly common fail item.
