Xpipe drone
 

for you guys that are running an x-pipe on your x5s - did you notice any performance loss or drone inside the car at low rpms?
I ran an x-pipe on my e46 and after a few months the drone around 2k rpm started getting on my nerves and it felt like i've lost a few horses at low rpm as well...

id like to know this also because I want the x5 to sound a bit nicer then stock

I did put a supersprint catback on my e36 and at first it was loud then it calmed down after a few weeks

I focused more on the sound now n not listen to radio. Lol.
But check your pipes maybe theres a hole there?

If adding an x-pipe gives you a drone, you're doing it wrong.

From the indise it doesnt sound too much but if im on the outside and hear a 4.4 drive by man im always impressed. i want somene to drove circelses around me in my car..

last time after taking the x5 for an oil change as I came out the dealer there was this x5 that passed me the light turned yellow and he gunned it the sound the x5 gave made the hair on my arms stand up, it was soo nice for a split second I thought it was me loool I look over at the wife and asked was that us she cracked up laughing :bustingup

ukrcan this coming summer I might bite the bullet and get the x pipe installed and well meet up hopefully
