Chinese made ride height level sensor.
Has anyone had any experience with Aborn auto parts? I found a level sensor made be Aborn on Amazon that is half the price of the OEM version. Wondering if it is worth it. I have reason to believe the sensor is failing/or failed. But I also may find myself with other issues.

Never heard of it. How much of a saving?

Aborn, 50. OEM, 92. Almost half the cost. I should probably treat the baby right and buy the OEM.

Its on amazon not ebay so i would go for it and try.
I use amazon all the time and they are super easy with refunding money and things like that if the item is trash. They pay return shipping too. |
I have never had good experiences with after market sensors. If they work, they work for a short periods. I've cheaped on camshaft position sensors, oil level sensors, throttle position sensors. Always gave me issues and had to end up buying OEM.
Some parts are worth going aftermarket for, but sensors (or anything electrical) I'd go with OEM. |
What's your reson for believing the sensor has failed?

One corner was randomly lowering. After resetting the self leveling and doing a height calibration i found the corner was fine it was the other 3 corners that were high. Over an inch on one. the corner I thought was low is now consistently deflating. But it goes back to the set height like it should. At thus point the sensors seem fine. Getting good voltages.

You have a leaking air bag, not a bad sensor. This quote says it for me
"the corner I thought was low is now consistently deflating. But it goes back to the set height like it should" If the one that is lowering is an original, I'd bet money that is slowly leaking, it will pump up when the car is running but eventually you'll burn the compressor out of spec if its trying to keep a leaking bag inflated to proper ride height. |
Came to that same conclusion. Replacement should be here today.
