I don't need any more torque so I am going to go with electric cutouts that are remote controlled. I can open them any amount at any time. I don't do welding so I have been calling around to find someone that will do the job before I order them.

I had the nitrous installed at an Indy BMW performance specialist shop. I wanted experienced techs. The methanol is from snow performance and a straightforward install. I can adjust the flow to come in at any injector pulse width and be a full charge at any width as well. Nitrous cost was just under $4,000. Took 3 days to install and I had extra testing done so that took almost a week.

$4000? What kind of kit do u have?

Rather than an M5 why don't you try to locate a wrecked X5M and you will have all the parts you need for a 525 HP X........:dunno:.......OR, better yet..... just swap your X for an X5M??

Cuz the m5 comes with a manual tranny and a 5grand supercharger kit puts u at 550hp and a wrecked x5m is 6 times more expensive than a m5

But i do agree with your comment of trading in/upgrading to a e70 x5m
I guess that is actually the more cost effective and reliable way to go at this point

I attended a BMW Power function a few years ago and tried a X5M and had a sh#t-eating grin for two days........Can't afford one as a daily driver......just fond memories.........
