Low tire pressure indicator

How long will it take for the dash light to go out after having a tire fixed, pressure was about 22# ($31.00 sheetrock screw)...aggghhhh

A couple of minutes of driving, after you have reset it.

My light will go out if I stop and press and hold the (!) button - 5-10 seconds. Not sure if the engine has to be off, but I don't think so.

Just press and hold the TPMS button until the light goes out. It will reset the system and relearn the current pressures.

Exactly. The goal isn't just to defeat the light, but to reset the system so that it can warn you of a low pressure again.

There ya go...the last HTML tag after "exactly" was missing the slash " / " in front of the "B" . :D

And for those that didn't know the explanation as to why the 3rd step to resetting the Flat Tire Monitor is important...the e53 (from 4/04-up) uses the "indirect" TPMS (tire pressure monitor system) where the ABS sensors calculate the wheels rotation. When a tire looses air pressure, it no longer rotates the same amount of times, so a change in one or more of the tire's rotation...indicates that tire pressure is lower than when the system was initialized.
