After reading through this, i just want to let you all know that soon as the weather warms ill do valve seals just to show the more experienced DIYers how to do them with some basic tools and stuff you can get from the local auto parts loaner tool program. Im also in the final stages of designing a simple, more effective CCV system thats also inexpensive. That is unless I get voted off the forums

I believe the tranny is still a GM product so your dad shouldn't be that upset. Dude, for that price you could tool around in Defender. Now that's a ride.

I salvaged the fittings from my old CCV hose assembly (cracked hose). I bought a new one but it is sitting in the trunk ($90). Since installing this catch can hose assembly over 6 months ago, I have not had to empty the crossover hose (below air intake). Total cost under $25.

20km/day is not the driving that these engines need...the more they are driven, the better for them...
