Rear wiper stopped !!!
 

Anyone experienced this one, My rear wiper has just stopped working, screen wash still squirts but no wipe.
It stopped about a month ago for 24hrs, but then the next day I drive it and all was well, but this time its been out for a week:dunno::dunno::dunno:
any ideas gratefully received before I start taking the tailgate to bits;););)

Pop the cover off of the wiper arm pivot and see if the 10mm bolt is loose. The motor may be truing but the arm came loose. common problem to check first.

Hi , update on rear wiper.
Aparently there is no relay for the rear !!!:dunno::dunno:
Anyway Im feeling quite pleased with myself because it looks like I have fixed it saving myself at least £100 for a used wiper motor unit.I decided to take the whole motor assy to bits to see if maybe the gears were jammed or the motor was seized !!!.I took the whole electric motor to bits and the commutator was black and sticky, so I put it in my battery drill polished it back to shinny copper again and then after much trial and error managed to reassemble the whole thing , not expecting to have achieved anything.
I plugged the unit back into the car and Hey Presto it works fine.:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
Im gonna wait a week before I put all the trim back together......just in case.
A nice DIY fix ....took me about 2 hours messing about :D:D
