I agree and am just doing the rear. I wanted to see what the front deal was. The arms are 100+ for the front. It's not cost effective.

You also have to modify the passenger arm as its about 1" too long on the front E70 wipers, detailed in that earlier thread. They are about $150 for the pair with blades as well.

I saw that, another reason not to do it.

I like the smooth look of the E70 rear wiper.

I like the smooth look too. I also like my rear wiper currently deleted right now, but the only negative to that is I don't like to not have a feature my car came with, decisions...... lol

These are the same sellers from Latvia that sell the Depo fogs and other items for our E53, I wouldn't be worried about not being good quality assembly, its about half the cost of OE rear wiper assembly, if not more.

I have the E70 conversion on mine which i bought on ebay for about $30. Just a heads-up (and it could be specific to my wipers) after about a month, I noticed blade doesn't sit fully on the glass when resting. So when you wipe, it leaves a big streak in the middle. I've tried removing and reinstalling, changing blade, greasing the spring, no luck.

This is why I deleted my rear wiper originally, my stock arm was lubed, greased etc (with no visible rust/seizing on the spring), and I put a brand new $20 Bosch Icon blade on the rear, and on the first wipe, big unswept spot in the middle.

Since you're telling me you have the same problem with a different rear wiper, I would hate to go through the trouble of undeleting just to have the same problem lol.

Undeleted mine shall stay for now. Cleaning with glass cleaner once a week has worked fairly fine for me since I took it out, to be honest I don't use it much.

Just due to the aerodynamics of the car, that back glass get's dirty real quick IMO.
I like the rear windows clear so I can keep a watchful out for any LEO's

@Ricky, i would like to delete it but it's my wife's daily driver and i would rather she has "some" visibility specially during rainy/snowy days. There is a junk yard half hr from where i live that has a few e53's and i plan to grab the rear wipers to see if that'll fix the unwiped issue. I tried the XC90 rear wiper from a junkyard (it looked nice after I plasti-dipped it) but that was a complete fail because the plastic was in bad shape. Good thing it was free.
