DIS v57 SSS v32 GT1 Question.

Anyone else having issues with the search feature being down the past few days?

Question for those with any working experience with the Hungarian diagnostic software I've seen discussed here. I'm reading that it allows access to coding options so could I actually fully recode my standard hi-Fi to top hi-Fi DSP when I get everything installed? Obviously I'd need to take my X to the dealer to be coded for DSP BUT if I can do it with that software it would behoove me more to purchase it. I just wasn't sure to what extent the coding features were and if I'd still need a trip to the dealer.

Thanks in advance guys

The software is everything a dealer will have so theres no necessary trip...

Only thing i can see is dsp would need to be done with a more "advanced coding" editor which is ncsexpert. SSS doesnt have advanced features, when i used it, it just had like coding features to specific keyfobs, drls on/off, stuff to do with locks like 2 clicks to open both doors versus one (2 clicks as in 1 only opens drivers door) etc.

Ncs is a far more advanced program and you need to know what your doing and changing or can mess stuff up. I know my way around gt1/inpa/sss but havent got a chance to play and learn with ncs.

Only one it could possibly be in is GT1- as ive never looked i to the sound module options, if its not then ncs.

IMO there is a significant learning curve to be comfortable doing coding. The following may be helpful: BMW forum. Diagnostics, coding, programming, repair BMW vehicles. - Powered by vBulletin

I had a hunch this would not likely be DIYable by myself even with said software. I think I'll let the dealer do the coding I need when the time comes.

However I'll likely buy the software anyway as it looks to be top notch for diagnostic endeavors.
