Look at the list I posted in early December. It showed all in stock at dealers in the USA at the time. I believe Bloomfield BMW had six, of which at least two have been sold to readers here ...... the parts guys at Morristown BMW ran the list for me, they didn't have any in stock.

Dealer installed hitch will cost you a bit more. Try ebay as well for some inexpensive ones.

You can install the OEM hitch [cost of kit close to $500] yourself, if you can locate one with all its parts. View earlier threads for the instructions, my post on dealer-stock OEM hitches, and a poster in AZ [e30?]'s maddening experience with both an aftermarket hitch and assembling the parts via ebay. If you are going to pull any significant weight at all, and not, for example, hang a bike rack from the hitch, best to stick with OEM. These aren't body on frame pickups, where attaching an aftermarket hitch to the rear frame is easy and cheap .....

Curt is a local hitch company here. Everyone here and I mean EVERYONE, doesn't matter what brand, has a Curt Hitch. We sell them out of our dealership direct to our customers. Can't beat the price and the quality is top notch, guys. OEM parts are always cool. But BMW makes cars not hitches. Curt makes hitches, not cars.

Is the Search button broken? Short posts like this just scream "someone do my homework for me." Well, here ya go. $140 and it worked like a champ towing a trailer from Boise to Seattle, then again from Seattle to Reno.

BMW doesn't make hitches, Westfalia does. What BMW does is design the interface from the receiver to the unibody. Something Curt doesn't do. Just look at what they designed that hitch to attach to.

Nothing wrong with a Curt hitch for a vehicle that has two frame rails to bolt up to. Pickups come to mind.
