Did it 6 months ago and haven't missed it one bit. Much cleaner look to the rear, and if weather is shitty out to make the rear window grimy, I better have my friggin eyes on the road ahead lol!

In the "nice season" instead of using my wipers I usually just clean my glass twice a week anyway so my rear window (or any for that matter) aren't really ever dirty anyway.

Finally a sensible X5 E53 owner!:rofl: It cracks me up when I see threads about how to fix them, the damn things probably don't work on 75% of the members here cars, how many even use them? But some of us are so anal we've just gotta have everything working. BMW can't make a door handle, window regulator, key cylinder or remote key that'll work for any length of time, can you really expect them to make a headlight washer system that'll be trouble free....lol!:bustingupGood thread!:thumbup:

When the washer pump for my headlight washers broke, I just removed it and thought I would buy a new one later. But that was a year ago and I don't really see the need to replace it now . . . I haven't missed it.

When you pull the pump out, there is grommet/filter that remains in the hole in the tank. I pulled that grommet/filter piece out and put a few pieces of plastic wrap (the kind in your kitchen drawer) over it and stuck it back in the hole. Maybe not the greatest solution, but it worked.

Actually I'm trying to change all of my nozzles because they all broken but I'm not sure how to do so, do I need to take the bumper off? Also I will have to replace the covers that goes on top of them because they are missing.
