Need help setting the timing in Sacramento

Hey guys looking for some help setting my timing in my 01 bmw x5 4.4. I was hoping there was someone in the Sac area that also needs their timing set, I have rented the special tools. I am also planning to replace the seals in the vanos. I still don't want to go to the stealership if I can help it.

Thanks in advance

Wow, you means there is no one in the entire area?

I think there are plenty of us in the area. It is just that the tools for timing are specialized and that I would rent them if I needed.

Oh, I see. I am willing to rent the tools needed to get the job done and will help whom every set the timing on their X5 while we have the tools (and maybe a little more).

If there are a group of you, in the area, that needs their timing set or have the P0021 code we can plan a day to meet and fix.

Good point, the car has a code p0021. I took it the the dealership and they said because I replaced the timing cover gaskets it may have jump a few teeth. The car has a lack of power and stalls. I would be will to provide the special tools to do the job, what I don't have is the no how.

It ran fine but was leaking oil. I also did not have the p0021 code until I replaced the timing cover gaskets. I took it to the dealership and was told the timing needed resetting.
