Removing paint another car leaves on your X5
Hi all,
I live in NYC and park on the street and woke up in the morning to find that a yellow taxi must of bumped into my Titanium Silver X5 because I can see some of its yellow paint on my drives side door...I was wondering what is the best way to remove this...will any type of soap and water work, i dont want to scrub so hard that i mess up the paint underneath or anything. Any help would be appreciated. MIke |
You can try some polishing compound, or a clay bar. Follow the instructions carefully and take your time. Neither one should hurt your paint if you are careful.

Go-Gone or whatever that stuff is called. I had a scuff on my car from some jerks white car and I used it, came off in seconds and didn't effect my paint.

who makes this go-gone, i tryed to google it but cant find it.

its called "goof-off" and you can get it from homedepot/lowes

 I would say the #1 thing to use is "Goof-Off". This happened to me when I had a black Dodge Durango and some how I got white paint on the side of it. I got some of that Goof Off and damn it took it off like it was never there. It smells really good and leaves the paint shiny. I love this stuff. Once you get it you will use it all over your house , car, garage. It's just good stuff.
They are not paying me for this :) |
will GOOF OFF work on pen ink left on my beige leather seats?
