Removing paint another car leaves on your X5

Hi all,
I live in NYC and park on the street and woke up in the morning to find that a yellow taxi must of bumped into my Titanium Silver X5 because I can see some of its yellow paint on my drives side door...I was wondering what is the best way to remove this...will any type of soap and water work, i dont want to scrub so hard that i mess up the paint underneath or anything. Any help would be appreciated.

You can try some polishing compound, or a clay bar. Follow the instructions carefully and take your time. Neither one should hurt your paint if you are careful.

Go-Gone or whatever that stuff is called. I had a scuff on my car from some jerks white car and I used it, came off in seconds and didn't effect my paint.

Clay bar will work.

 I would say the #1 thing to use is "Goof-Off". This happened to me when I had a black Dodge Durango and some how I got white paint on the side of it. I got some of that Goof Off and damn it took it off like it was never there. It smells really good and leaves the paint shiny. I love this stuff. Once you get it you will use it all over your house , car, garage. It's just good stuff.

They are not paying me for this :)

Goo-Gone, sorry left an "o" out. You can get it at most hardware or even supermarkets.

No lie, I have never seen a stain Goof Off has not gotten out. I have 3 young kids and I keep one spray bottle and one concentrated can in my house at all times. It works like those commercials, you spray it on and you start to see the stuff go away. Also another cool thing about goof off is that the longer you leave it on the better it works. So if one quick spray and whipe does not do it, you spray and leave it for a few mins and whalla, come back and whipe.
