Rear hatch not locking fully
So, today at the mall my rear hatch stopped locking correctly. It rattles something fierce when I hit a bump now. :(
I bathed it in WD40 when I got back, and sure enough it was quite dirty. Looks like when it's supposed to lock the tab doesn't fully move into the locked position. After about 20 minutes of WD40 treatment, it locked properly ONCE, then went back to being rattly. Is there a way to get in there without removing it? I suspect it's just really dirty, but I can't seem to get it fully clean, fighting gravity and all. |
Now the lights don't turn off if I'm driving. If the car is parked and turned off, the lights go off after 15 min. Anyone know which relay/fuse controls this? Alo, How do I pull those relays to test them? Tried this morning to pull one out and couldn't seem to budge it... and don't want to break it. Hee's my fuse box:

Pull that second blue relay out. Hit it a few times against something hard, like a tap. Put it back in. I had this ones, was a sticking relay.

How do I pull it?

Stupid thing won't budge.

typically those relays have a tab on 2 sides that you usually need to try and release. Taking a flat blade and prying the catch away from the tab usually does the job. Focusing on one side will usually set the other lose too.

Looks like you're having one problem after the other lately, that "to do/done list" is getting longer and longer, did you finally get it started?

Press the tab inward and wiggle that sucker out. :)
Interior lights are not turning off because your hatch is open. Fix the latch and you fix your lights too :) |
