need help with tires
Hey guys, looking at tirerack I came by these tires they have them on clear out with tires and shipping its around $1640 shipped to Canada
They have 40 off set will that be flush with the 4.8 flare kit on my 4.4 x5? in the back? http://www.iautoauto.com/wp-content/...0110926-16.jpg |
FYI... Those aren't tires, they are wheels (rims)..
The tire is the rubber thing that wraps around the rim. :) |
Width? +40mm offset (assumed 10"-11" width) will NOT be flushed with the "iS" flares.
The rears on my iS in the sig. picture are 20x11 +10mm |
Even if the wheels are 10.5" with +40 offset they would barely be flush with rear fenders without flares.
My style 168 are 10.5" wide with ET +35 and they are just about flush but slightly inward by a few mm, and I have NO FENDER FLARES. |
what would be the off set I would need to have them flush with the flares?
|
If the wheels are what you want and the offset doesn't get you where you want to be you could add spacers to make up the difference.

Since you didn't answer my question about width, I check tirerack. They are 20x10 ET40, cast wheels from China.
You can put on the 30mm spacers, and make them look decent. |
Just to compare since tmv's offset is pretty much flush with his 4.8iS flares, and he does not run spacers that I know of:
If your tirerack wheels are 10" wide and ET40, compared to tmv's 11" wide wheels with ET10, wheel offset calculator shows: INNER CLEARANCE: 17mm less OUTER POSITION: Retracted by 43mm You would need at least 30-35mm to get close to flush lol. |
Lol sorry guys not thinking stright haha the x5s for the wife I told her we can add spacers but she doesn't want tooo
