Scanner 1.4 can't find SRS

I have an airbag light on my dash and its been there since I bought the X5. I bought a BMW Scanner 1.4 and got most of everything just the way I want them... But for some reason it will not bring up the SRS. It says that it cannot find it. I am using the round plug under the hood attached to my scanner. Just wondering if any of you guys play with this stuff and had any problems. Thanks

The SRS module under the console could be bad, that is why you have the airbag light on and why the Scanner can't read the module.

good thinking.. for all I know, it couldn't even be there..lol thanks! I will look into it tomorrow.
