A new twist on an old fav

Well I was bored so I changed out the front and rear roundels for the carbon fiber look. Then I realized my steering wheel roundel didn't match, and it was worn a little, so I changed it. Then I realized that my center caps needed the matching CF scheme too, but I wanted to run the bimmer spinners for a while longer. So I got some roundel appliqués and now have modded spinning CF center caps... boredom is the mother of cheesy inventions.

Matches your interior and paint perfectly, Kevin.

Are those just the stick-on's, are did you buy the roundels that way?
|
The hood and trunk are new complete roundels that replace the factory emblems. The steering wheel piece is metal and plastic that replaces or covers the OEM roundel. The wheel center caps come as full caps or metal and plastic roundels that apply to the surface. These are not the vinyl stickers that you apply over the factory roundels.

Looks great, Kevin!! Nice job!

I need a hood roundel for my '01 X5...where can I find the best price and how much should I expect to pay? Do emblem grommets have to be purchased also? I probably seem to be illiterate when it comes to these things, but my husband won't be doing this for me.
