Disabling Steering Wheel Auto Raise/Lower through coding?
Read through a number of threads but can't find one that explains how to disable the option via coding. Having the wheel raise and lower when the ignition is turned on does nothing to help me get in and out of the vehicle and I would prefer to disable it.
Does anyone know the setting in NCS Expert that needs to be changed to "inactive"? I imagine it can also be done with a GT1 or SSS. Could use any of them if someone is able to point me in the right direction. |
Nothing that I know of. Some E39 owners set it at the preferred setting then pull the fuse.

Are you not using any of the memory positions? Ours only moves when pressing a different memory button.

Think I found it: EINSTIEGSHILFE_HOEHE : automatic steering wheel up & down [height]

Awesome, I will have to pull out my laptop and give it a try. Thank you.

Do you know which module that setting resides in?

I would imagine that setting is in the GM. I've been meaning to research this myself, so thanks for sharing!
