Accessing central lock and hazard switches

Hey guys,

Neither my hazards or my central lock switches are working. Either the PO dumped a coffee down there or maybe it's a combo plug that may have fallen off?

Anyway, what's the trick to getting access to the backside of those switches? Pics of previous work would be really helpful..

Thanks
B

well, I have a manual trans so I simply removed the shift boot and pressed up on the switch assembly from the bottom. If you have an auto trans maybe you could do a similar procedure. Otherwise, a panel removal tool at the lip of the switch and just pry it up. careful not to scratch stuff.

I got it fixed.

Yes, the surround on the auto pops out and then you can push the switches out from behind. The base of mine were pushed out with broken tabs. I used some crazy glue to put it back together and everything works fine now. Thanks for the tips.
