Coding car memory options
 

Hi guys,

I tried to change a few options in the car memory. Specifically
- remove the auto lock after you start driving
- remove the tilt steering adjust when you turn the car on/off

I went in with DISv44 and could access the options and make the changes. I set the changes and it seemed to take, but they haven't. Now when I go to redo the same changes, it's as if I'm making no changes and it won't go through the setting of the change. Am I missing a step somewhere? By it telling me I'm not making changes, means to me the changes are there somewhere. Do I have to do anything with the key or cycling of power to get the changes to activate?

I basically did these steps and my screens matched those in this post.

P.S. I know I can connect, as I did the transfer case reset and it auto-ID's the vehicle. I tried before without the proper cable and it wouldn't even give me the menus or the options to change.

Tried it all again, but applied the opposite setting for each option (then re-applied to get them set again). Seems to be something in the on/off key toggling that does it. Screen pops up and says "turn off/on". I do that and hit yes and it pops the same screen again. Next I turn key off, press yes, it accepts the settings and I turn the key on again and it sticks. Seems a bit weird, but whatever, steering wheel doesn't move now and the locks don't apply every time I drive away.
