today i started up the Xs like i normally do i know im suppose to run like a runaway slave but been doing a lot of work to the suspension front and back. so to my surprise i see all this white smoke coming from from the exhaust and it wasn't steam so i shut the Xs off i started looking around the engine. first i removed the breather hose to the valve cover i notice it was wet so i stuck my finger into the valve cover hole and to my surprise it was almost clog with grime. So i decided to check the ccv .look what i found .alot of mayonaise for my turkey and cheese sandwich. what should i do next? my dip stick is ok the return hose is ok. i purchase the new system with the insulation around it haven't installed it yet. do i need to clean the dip stick housing?i want to know step by step on what to do before i install the new system. Thanks

Clean it all out, do a hot oil change, look for opportunities to get it fully warmed up regularly. The culprit is likely your driving habits. If you can't drive it enough to get it hot and boil off the condensation, plan for regular maintenance.

Make sure u remove the dipstick tube and clear the CCC drain port in it. You might need a torch

today while checking the oil return hose to the dipstick guide tube i notice that the hose wasn't dirty. so i test by applying a hose to it and blowing air into it ,i heard the oil bubbling in the oil pan.does't sound like it was clogged. is this a good way to test it? also i checked for leaks ,nothing, should i change this hose or just leave it?

also checked the breather to the manifold ,i looked inside and seen alot of slug but it wasn't clogged but it was dirty, so i hooked up my hose to it again and blew into it,but it seems ok i checked the spark plug no oil in the chambers.what else should i check for before i install the new cold and warm weather CCV SYSTEM?

well your there since you have the intake boot out have a good look at the curved hose on it and check for cracks, you can get an intake boot at rock auto for about 12.00 can plus shipping to canada 15.00

poppy400 0 take a close at the left side of your valve cover in the pic it looks warped you might want to replace valve cover and gaskets. just my opinion.

When I changed my CCV I removed the oil dipstick, cleaned that out changed the O-ring and cleaned out the valve cover. Mines had original CCV and lasted 162,XXX miles.

I check the oil dipstick guide tube it's clear, even the oil drain hose is clear but i'm going to install the new oil drain hose anyway
