window regulator / glass
 

hi. i pulled the front door apart. have the regulator out of the car. "spare" parts broken off down in the door. when the glass came out, it was "clean", didn't have the clips in the holes at the bottom. those were still in the broken parts of the regulator.
are those clips supposed to be "attached" or glued to the glass? the clips with the 10mm bolts that secure the class to the regulator.
if they're not secured somehow, it looks like the glass won't securely attach to the new regulator. videos on YOUTUBE with the repair, show these clips coming out with the glass.....

OK....found the answer. the clips on the glass have little "ears" on the back, that spread when the nut tightens on the glass. keeps the glass attached to the regulator. all my ears/tabs had broken off. Dealer had new clips for $1,29 each, popped in perfect, regulator is smooth and new, easy fix.
