"self level susp. Inactive" delete
Is it possible to have this error message deleted? I did conversion to spring and strut from air bags and that message is so dang annoying.Dealer was no help, they said its impossible. I pulled the fuse in the back as well.

Ensure the level sensors are at correct height front to back too. |

Are the sensors being at the correct height a necessity? I have the x5 lowered on coilovers. And where can I get one of those scanners? |
I was able to source the scanner. What section computer system would self level susp. Be under? Such as IKE, dme, etc. Just so I know before hand what I'm getting myself into.

Hi,
Here is the info you need: When on the main screen click on "Units" on the top of the screen Then click on "LCM" Then click on "Coding Data" Then click on "Check/Control Messages" Now you will be in a menu to check/uncheck which error messages you want to appear on the dash. Just uncheck the "SELFLEVEL SUPS.INACT" box then click on "Write" at the bottom right of the screen and thats it done! Now just exit the software as normal and fire the car up and the error message on the dash will be non existant :-) Hope this helps and let me know how you get on. Cheers, Raj |

As above but also the error for the suspension will override the check control if the X believes the rear is sitting way lower or higher than the fronts for example.
The sensors and the control module itself are used in conjunction for things like the DSC, etc too. |
I have actually disconnected the rear sensors from the attached point to the lower arms and positioned them the the correct level so even if I load up the rear and the rear drops too much it doesn't effect the perceived rear ride height.

Thank you RajB I'm ordering the scanner today. I'll update this thread when it comes in. It looks likes I got myself in deeper into then planned. My Dsc light came on as well, I thought it was just a coincidence that a sensor went bad when I lowered. Any idea how to bring back the function of that? The car being lowered d isn't worth not being able to stop in an emergency. I'll poke around for that article x5snd
