I killed my rear subframe bushings :P Loemforder any good?
 

Well, they were kind of noisy to start with, but now they're worse, and they look to be cracked.. and she doesn't handle quite as tight.

I'm looking at Lemfoerder, about $17 on Autopartsway. Anyone ever use that brand, or is there something better for a decent price?

I put them in mine. I would say they are as good as the genuine ones. If you want to stiffen them up, they make some poly ones and even solid aluminum ones (if u are brave). I am happy with the lemforders

I picked up the Powerflex subframe/control arm/swaybar bush package a few week ago. Only have the CABs installed to date.

You can get solid rubber Meyle HD for about 35-40 apiece, powerflex for 530, or Armstrong distributors poly bushings (basically same as Powerflex) for 285. All are good choices, as well as lemforder

Are all 4 the same?

Yes the part number is the same you need 4 bushings

I just replaced mine (Meyle HD) and have the tool available. There are two tool manufactures that exist, the one I bought uses machined cups that take any guesswork out of this - works great. Happy to see these go on to the next user.

See my post elsewhere about who, where, when, why & how of the these bushings (US English) or bushes (UK English). Bottom line: if you have an E53 and they haven't been replaced, it's time to do so ...

Lemforder is OEM for a lot of BMW bushings and it wouldnt surprise me if they were in this case. I wouldnt hesitate to use them.
