Feeler: 2003 X5 4.6is
Hey guys. Been a while...
Been hanging out with the Shelby crowd for the last few years. My history with this board: 2002 X5 4.6is, 2006 X5 4.8is. And now, a 2003 X5 4.6is. Estorial Blue on Black Leather with Sport Seats and Nav. Mileage is about 78,000. I bought her from a guy up in the Woodlands just north of Houston. He sold it since he did not have a warranty and got burned on the water pump re-do: ~$2800. I have a warranty through Endurance. Since I've owned her over the last few months, I have: -Upgraded all pads to EBC Red Stuff -Clay bar/wax the beast -Changed oil, intake and microfilters -Flushed ALL fluids (both differentials, transfer case, transmission with filter kit, brake flush, anti-freeze and rotors was by previous owner) -Replaced spark plugs -Replaced valve cover gaskets -Bought Lloyds carpets all around in Berber -Installed Alpina badging on O.E. Style 87 wheels and body in lieu of Roundels. -Replaced the left driver door's foot trim; it was ripped. Tires are all-season Michelins with about 6 month's tread left. Has a bull bar across the front that I have grown fond of Has a 'Level 3'(?) BMW trailer hitch (BMW wants $750 to REMOVE it !!!). That's not right. It has original suspension with rear air leveling set up. KBB shows a range of upwards of $18,500. I will be providing pics soon and I will be asking $19,500. Why? Because I've done all the work for someone. All the new owner will have to do is drive it. Everything works. The X has been refreshed and is now ready for the next 78,000 miles. Reason for selling? I want to find another one to work on. I'm retired and bored! I see this as fun. Ethics: Unquestionable. References upon request. Bruce |
No for sale ads without a membership.

Forgive... I need to pay you guys to post a for sale ad on this board (of which I've been a member for quite some time)? Is that what I'm reading?
Thought sponsorships was how you stay in operation. Wrong on that point too? BTW, it's a "Feeler". Nowhere does it say "For Sale". |
The rule is: ONLY premier members can post for-sale ads. The site needs financial support to run/operate. For the amount of info and helps I get on here, I don't mind the $35 fee/year.
Sponsorships help too, but what if it's still not enough? This thread will be removed. |
If I wanted to sell a car here or parts for that matter, I'd pay the 35 bones.
All feelers do is generate free marketing and interested buyers, might as well put for sale. Btw, I remember the seller on BF selling this a few months ago as I remember his story about the water pump repair costing him a lot. At your price I reckon you'll be making a few grand based on his for sale pricing at the time. Also no disrespect but I wouldn't consider selling the X with 6 months of tread having done "all the work for someone" who is the next buyer, a grand in tires within a few months of ownership does mean something to people. If I were you I'd throw a set of $650 Atturo meats on there and then your price might be justified. |
$19500? Good luck getting anything near that. I'll be lucky to get $17-$18 for my '06 4.8 when it goes up for sale next week.

FS: 2003 X5 4.6is Estoril on black 73k miles
This is the car and last advertised price in the thread was 15,900 firm in January. Picked up about a month later I'd say for mid to low 15s most likely. |

This is the sticky that you had to scroll past to see your thread: http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...e-threads.html Please don't insult our intelligence by claiming you are not selling it. That was the whole reason you posted. You are getting a free ad. |
With the link to the other forsale ad on BF kinda doubt it if he will get 15,000 from anyone on this forum.

The PO was a member on this forum. $19.5k is wwwaaayyyyy overpriced.
