AC blowing warm air in the middle vents
 

Hi all, I have an issue where my AC is blowing really hot air in the middle and back vents and little cold air on the side vents.
I just recharged the system and put exactly one pound of R134.
It was 84 degrees today and the center vents were blowing 94 degrees on Max AC.
My car also is not condensating any water for a while and I smell some odd smell coming out of the vents when I first start the car that would last for a minute or less.
Some other posts recommend that to change the water valve, some others says to change the water valve fuse ( which I can't find)
Any suggestions to my problem? does anyone know where to find that water valve fuse?

You did make sure to turn the dial to show 3 blue dots....right?

Did you pull a vacuum for an hour before charging the system, or did you just add 16 oz. to the system?

Actually I vacuumed the System for 45 minutes and then charged it. I know it is not leaking and the problem is not from under or over charging the system, but I can't find the cause of the problem

In a previous car this occurred to me when the actuating flap for the heater box got stuck open.

I did a google search to see if it affected the e53 and found this link

That smell you're getting, e39's are notorious for it and I'm pretty sure the e53 shares the same system. It's referred to 'gym sock' smell. It comes from mildew growing inside the condensor, just a bad design. Can be quick fixed by spraying a special deoderizer through the vents - but the proper fix is to get access to the condenser and spray it directly on there. In the e39 that involved drilling a hole to get inside the box.

Actually it mildew in the evaporator. Warm moist air is condensing on the cold evaporator coil. The condenser is located at the front of the car.

Hi all. thank you for the replies and help. I think I just found the problem.
The sensor number 64118391470 is disconnected and I can't get the plug hooked to it. The plug goes have way and stops, not sure why. Can this be the problem?

Check the pins in the connector are not bent.
