Anyone recognize this plug

3 Attachment(s)
I found this plug hagging under steering column, beside OBD port, and was not plugged into anything.

The reason behind this is that when I purchased my 02 x5 3L, steering adjustment wasn't working. Searched around and seems like fulty seat switch, but all my memory, seat movement works fine.

Anyone can find where this plug goes into?

As for wiring color, it's
BLUE/BLACK, PINK/WHITE, BLUE/BROWN, BROWN/BLACK

Thanks.

must be for the optional "self destruct" button that you didn't order ;)

do you have PDC? do your gongs work - the key left in ignition, fasten seat belts gong, light on?

do all the buttons on your MLF steering wheel work? Or is it just that the lever that controls the steering wheel movement doesn't work?

Although the seat control module controls the steering wheel movement...if one of the connectors coming from the slipring isn't plugged in...this my contain the wires that carry data from the leaver to the seat control module.

I say this because it looks very similar to one of the harnesses when I upgraded the steering wheel in my e38 from the 4 spoke to the 3 spoke. You may want too remove the panels from around the steering column to check if that plug is disconnected from where you see one similar in my e38 below:

Thanks for input.
My steering wheel works fine except telescope feature. I'm quite positive this has to do with seat switch because if I try to move steering wheel with switch, I hear relay ticking from seat switch but steering wheel doesn't move.

Also my disconnected wire is not long enough to reach slipring. It's by OBD port.
I'll look into in further when I'm installing GROM. :)

Couldn't find anything relating to that part#. It looks like it's incomplete number.
