Are Sport side view mirrors different?

Would appreciate some help -

I need to replace a side view mirror and have a 2001 4.4 with the Sport package I have the auto-dip as well and the memory seats. Mine are not power-fold (I understand those have motors in them and are different).

The problem is just in the mirror base (that attaches to the door) so I transfer over the cover and glass, etc. but I'm trying to figure out if the bases are interchangeable - There seems to be 3-4 different part numbers.

I see some listed as "sport" and some "not sport" but they seem real similar to me. does anyone know what the difference is?

Thanks,

David

I think the difference is if they have the auto dimming feature or not

the powerfolding mirror base is slightly different too. If you're at a wrecker you can tell by the button on the mirror adjustment selector switch.

As long as it has the same functions as your existing mirror then it'll be the same.

You guys are wrong thus far

It says Sport/Non-sport part numbers because of the shadowline window trims, they extend to the ring around the mirrors and the mirror base itself.

If you have a non-sport package it would be flat black and if Sport it would be Shadowline trim. Be sure to get a sport so it matches your window trims
