Anyone replaced aux fan on facelift?

Trying to pull it out on a x5 3.0d facelift and it's impossible to pull down? It just kept hitting the sides of the front cross member?

Anyone done this?

Yep, quiet simple when you have done it.

You need to unbolt the front cross member as well. Then it comes out so easy.

There is a how to somewhere to remove an Aux Fan on the V8's. Follow that to the T, but then also unbolt the cross member in the front. By memory, it is held in with 4 bolts either side.
