[QUOTE=Quicksilver;1002927]Personally didn't think people that commented in this thread deserved to be called assholes.[/

Btw, i did not say everyone who commented were assholes. Far from that!
And maybe asshole was too strong i admit. But the frustration of often beeing challenged in this forum got to me.
So for the ones who felt they won the asshole award , please accept my apologies. I was outa line.

Just a thought:

The most important thing I found around these parts is the motto of the site: "Come for the information stay for the friendships". I've been here long enough to have developed some friendships and trust me when I say I've had disagreements, heated discussions, been called names raked over the coals by some of those friends all at my expense. Bottom line is those discussions were healthy. Putting on ones big boy pants and developing a thick skin is important. I'm still here and unless I get banned I plan on being here for a while so bring it on. Let's not be so politically correct, let's have some fun. life is too short.

This site is not just about what car you bought, what trouble you having, what vehicle problem you need solving, what you want to sell. It's about life, living, and how we can help each other so let's try to keep the proper perspective.

Have a great day.

You are correct. As a friend one knows the boundaries to stay within to remain friends. And each has come to understand the likely intention of communication. Further the friends usually have no problem taking exception of something said because of how well they know each other. The difference here is we are not taking about communication between friends. I am all for making friends, having fun etc. I don't see where the motto is compatible with a necessity to have a thick skin as that is not in the process of becoming friends. I'm done, I have been beating a dead horse for some time.
