how much vacuum.???
how much vacuum is suppose to be on the hose that comes out from the throttle rubber elbow going to the fuel pressure regulator that is built in the fuel filter. when i disconnect the hose at idle there is vacuum at all??
thanks |
Vacuum varies and depends on a lot of factors. With the engine at idle you should have a decent vacuum at all time since the throttle is close, at WOT there is less vacuum. Engine RPM and atmospheric pressure also affects vacuum.

the elbow is new the fuel filter is new i even change the small piece of vacuum hose at the filter. but as stated there is no vacuum present when you put your finger at the end of hose coming from elbow. by the way this is 02 x5 3.0i

What is the problem you are experiencing?
|
i'm chasing a code p2096 on bank 1.new valve cover gasket new intakes gasket new DISA valve o ring new rubber elbow to eliminate a vacuum leak new 02 sensors
so my other suggestion would be if has more than fuel then maybe it is fuel related new fuel filter. if the the pressure regulator is built in the fuel filter lets test it usually when disconnect vacuum to regulator it put it wide open you should hear a change in rpm. but been i have no vacuum i can't rule out a faulty/bad new filter.so i'm trying to find out why is there no vacuum present at idle on that port. best as i can describe it for now. I wasn't clear. What symptoms of a problem do you have? Loss of power, poor idle, etc?
|
vibration when in drive stop at a light.but it comes and go if i drive around town stop and go sel light comes on after i turn off car the start car and drive less than 1/2 mile but if i drive straight meaning on highway driving only light doesn't come on until after 60 to 70 miles later.power is fine shifting is fine.starts on a dime
