Just put on rear ST Slotted Cryo treated rotors with centric pads after getting 98K mi from the original set. I have front ST BBK's with slotted cryo rotors so just matching up rotor and pad hardware for consistency.

Where did you pick up the ST cryo rotors from?
I have factory blanks and Pagid pads on mine from the previous owner and although the stopping power is good and the parts have a ton of life left in them, I know I'll be doing my calipers preventatively in the next couple years and probably will replace the rotors and pads with some nice coated rotors and the Cool Carbon pads (I like tiag's impressions of them). |
I have factory blanks and Pagid pads (not ceramic), and can't wait to replace them - washing front wheels every other day. If it goes 3 days have to just about wire brush them to get them clean.
VERY confusing......Brembo doesn't make non slotted rotors for the front?? Cool carbon doesn't make pads for the front?? Those Ebay "all in one" kits are looking better and better....... |
The guy at zeckhausen recommended against cryo
At 30$ more per rotor, is money flushed down the drain.-his words I ended up paying 580$ shipped for front/rear ST slotted rotors for the 4.8 |
And I would DEF trust Dave Zeckhausen, the guy knows brakes! I'll get the Stoptech rotors from him down the line for sure then.
