I believe you...it's more of figuring out when BMW may have introduced that little light to the overhead console...and perhaps it coincides with the safety recall notice for those X5 owners that received it. The part database doesn't list anything in the TO/FROM columns for this warning light either. :dunno:

What's your build date? Mine is a 2006 model year with a 12/05 build date...and I have the light as well as receiving the recall notice...but don't have an issue with the SRS system.

I added it to my sig... 2005 model year with build date below.

Edit: What recall notice are you referring to? I'm wondering if I should take the vehicle in to BMW to see if any recall work is needed?
