New Brake Booster, now bifecta lighting up

The place I bought my 4.8is from agreed to fix the brakes when I bought it. Seven weeks ago. First they did new pads & rotors. Then they rebled the lines. Just picked it up after they installed a new brake booster. On the way home, I got the bifecta - the DSC/4x4 and BRAKE lights came on. Pressing the DSC button will not turn it back on, or reset the light.

Could these just need to be reset from the work they did, or did the repair trigger something else? I immediately drove back to the shop and showed them that the lights had come on, just to make them aware, but the mechanic was not there, only the sales guy. He connected their code reader and it wasn't reporting anything. At that point I drove it home (only a mile or two) and started searching the problem.

I guess, before I buy any tools or take it to my indy, what are the odds that putting in the new brake booster caused this, and it's just a reset? Or what are the odds that they triggered something else up while installing the booster? Neither of these lights had come on before they did the booster.

Thanks...

Anyone? Had it out again today and can confirm that the cruise control is NOT working... If that helps.

If cruise control isn't working I'll bet you have a dead rear speed sensor. Could have been whacked during the brake job

Another interesting development today. The "Check Rear Lights" alert popped up about 40 miles into a drive.

When I got home I checked and neither brake light is working, or so I thought. I spent an hour or so checking bulbs and searching the forums. I popped the left fixture out and there is absolutely no corrosion anywhere to be found. Everything looks great.

Then I took another look at the lights and realized the brake lights are coming on just fine, they're not going out.

If I turn the lights on with the vehicle off, the two bulbs in the back come on at even levels. As soon as I turn the key on, they go into "brake" mode, even without stepping on the brake.

Brake stop switch in the panel above the pedal should be the culprit then

Thank you very much sir. We'll check that.

I had it in today and just picked it up. They said they adjusted the brake stop switch, that the brakes were just always on a little bit, causing the problems...and that my Phillips Crystal Vision bulbs were messing with the system's voltage and they put the stock bulbs back in.

Problem is, to me it looks like the Crystal Visions are still in there...they definitely have blue glass on the lamps.

So I don't know what to think right now. I drove around for about 15 miles, highway and around town. The brakes feel okay. I didn't get any messages thrown at me.

But I'd have thought the brake stop switch looked like something that you'd just replace. A cheap part that seems easy to get to. It also seems like something that can't be 'adjusted'. Or am I wrong?

I would like to be done messing with this stuff so I can move on to other things, and I'm about to the point where I'm going to stop taking it to the place that is trying to 'fix' the problem for free and pay someone to do it once and for all. Of course that involves me paying out of pocket, which I'd prefer to avoid as well, since they told me when I bought it that they'd make the brakes right.

Thoughts, oh great trusted Xoutpost?

The brake stop switch is known to go bad occasionally. A cheap fix if that was the problem

But is the brake stop switch something that can be adjusted? They told me they just adjusted it, not replaced. And the lamp discrepancy is odd, too.
