Keep valve cover gaskets in place?

So I'm about to tackle the valve cover gaskets on my M62 (again).
Should be easier this time now that I know you can remove the cabin air filter housing.

I know they should go in dry and use Ultra Gray on the half moons and timing chain cover joints.
Forum posts on the topic don't talk much about keeping the gasket in place.

Do people that've done this job use anything like Permatex High Tack to keep the gasket in place during assembly? How about any lubricant on the head side of the gasket to help it float??

The gasket will snug fit right in that groove. Didn't find the need to put any glue on it to keep it there while assembly. GL

You'll want some grease on the ones that go on top of the plugs just enough to hold them in place so you can slide the cover right on top of them.
If you do it the other way(slide gaskets in the cover first ) you might not get a perfect seal.
Apply enough rtv on half moons and put some on the gasket in the same place..when pressed in place, let is sit for 20 min then kind of wipe it across , like you would do when you apply caulk ...that'll seal those half moons even better.
Never had a problem doing it this way
Rtv will cure overnight so it's better to not drive the car right after.
Hopefully that made sense..

I'm deep into the Valve Cover Gasket job. Looks like the joint at the timing chain cover was the culprit.
