Question on m62 4.4 Vacuum line

3 Attachment(s)
Hi.

I was working on my 4.4L m62tu, replacing CCV and PCV.
Upon disassembly, found few, looks like vacuum lines, disconnected. lol

1) Found this #1 line not connected to anywhere on valve cover. Should this be connected to something?

2) On PCV, #2 line is not connected. Where should this be connected? Also #3 is capped. Is this suppose be this way?

3) After removal of PCV, #4 was not connected to anything. Should this be connected to #2 from above picture?

Thanks!

Hi

#1 is a front differential breather/vent

#2 is a transmission breather/vent

#3 needs to be blind(plugged)

#4 is a nipple that connects a tiny line that connects to the Oil Separator oil drain pipe that goes to the the lower oil pan. It's actually a couple of pipes.Tiny one is crucial for membrane operation.

I am sure that your line was old and slipped off when you removed the CCV.
