E53 - Aux is Mono, how to get stero?
 

Guys, if I am right, when tapping into the Aux connection to play musi from an IPod, the music level is lower than if playing a CD or Radio. How can I connect the ipod, so it plays at the same level as CD's and the Radio?

Is your problem that the level is lower, or that the sound is mono, or both?

when you are in AUX, the preset buttons 1-6 can change the default volume level - try number 6, maybe it will help...

the title is confusing - you asked about AUX being mono? it is stereo, if you get mono from the aux connection, something is not connected right... check your grounds, as you might be getting left and right channels piping into the system without ground, and they use each other as "referenced" ground that can end up in lower volume and alternator whine...
