Did the bleed, will check on it again... I suspect my cousin didn't bother to top off after he changed the water pump, so between that and the BMW coolant hunger, I was down about 3 quarts. :P

3 quarts and no light! My light was coming on if I was down just one quart (prior to replacing the water pump). Sound like you've got a sensor problem there too.

Well, shiver me timbers. Going to keep a close eye on things. I hope when my cousin did the tank, he didn't re-use the old sensor. Bad enough he overcharged on parts....

Is it a e70 x5? Cause I been chasing a coolant leak also with no luck. Where did you found the 1.2 bar cap?

German Auto Solutions sells 1.2 bar, or you can get 1.4 bar from E30

Mine it's a 2010 X5 48i it's a different cap.
