Car Stalled at stop light now won't stay running? HELP!

I was driving home from work about half hour commute. did not notice anything unusual about the drive no rough idling or warning lights. I stopped at a traffic light and the engine started rough idling I looked down and saw the engine oil light flickering not sure if any others were flickering it happen so fast then my car died like it ran out of gas or a hose was disconnected. Then it would not stay running more than a few second then stalls and dies.

I had the Alternator replaced about 10 months ago but nothing else I can think of.

Please any ideas?! Maybe a cam sensor. I really don't know.

Cant say much as im not really familar with the 3.0 motor.

Oil light flash isnt good so i wouldnt try starting it for now. I would turn the key to acc position and hook up obd2 reader to check for any codes that may have been thrown.

Could be a lot of things, but I'm guessing MAF.

If you dont have a scanner, you could try unplugging the MAF and see if it will stay running.

Would it be normal for the MAF to fail with no prior symptoms?

The check engine light is not on. Can I still get a code to read with qbd2?

You need a program like INPA if the CEL is not on. If the oil pressure light was on while the engine was stalling it would probably be because oil pressure was consistant with engine speed, being almost zero, thus triggering the light. For example, when I almost stall (manual, and hey, it happens every once in awhile), the oil pressure light will flicker at the same time. So I wouldn't put too much thought into that just yet. Do check your oil level though.

When was the last time you filled up with gas? Sounds pretty similar to when a friend and I filled up with bad gas. Although we were empty when we filled so it started acting up only a couple blocks from the station.

How much have you driven since then? Its not implosible, but might not be it if it was that long ago.

Also make sure you actually have gas, I had a friend that had his level sensor stick in his tank, it read that it still had a quarter tank left, he ran out of gas and it took us a few days to figure out the sensor was stuck. Big facepalm after we found out. His car also died at a stop with your same symptoms.
