We need to transport Bulldogs to dog shows and came across this nice setup and was looking to see if anyone has used it or something similar.

My pup just hangs around in the back. Put some blankets down so it is softer for him and he just goes right to sleep. Although sometimes he jumps over the back seat when he feels like causing problems. I have thought about getting a net but it isn't that frequent.

Do you really need a cage like that? My buddy has a bulldog and he sits in the back seat with some harness belt thing.

We have an American Bulldog and don't need to transport him in a cage, he actually enjoys a car ride and having his head out the window, he's not a piece of luggage.

Cages are for animal control.

We have a Kurgo cover which basically hooks onto the front/rear headrests and turns the backseat into a hammock, it controls most of his hair and allows him to sniff out the window periodically.

It's also a lot cheaper than those cages, about 50 bucks.

We lay his favorite blanket on it too so he can rest and make a comfy spot on longer rides.

This is our Chad:

Would a bulldog even fit in that cage?

Good lookin dog! Love it! :) I used to have a Rotty while I lived in Ukraine. Got him at 6 months, loved that dog, but had to give him up to my friend when we moved back. I'm getting another as soon as we're settled into our new place..!

Rotors are awesome dogs Matt!

And to above yeah an English Bulldog might fit in that cage, if he's svelte.

*rotties!

When running around town, we may take a Bulldog along and they normally ride shotgun and do great.

The times when we are driving for hours and taking a few show dogs, we do crate the dogs, mostly for their safety.

+1 on the seat cover / hammock. I also have used it with the rear seats folded down still clipped to front seats.

our labrador and dachshund seem to approve:

We use a hammock for our fawn color 70lb Blackmouth Cur.

Only been in the Accord, NEVER in the X (black interior would show EVERY hair).
