Weird silly question from me again...
I just lowered my car like really low, on BC coils.. But the thing now is I drive in the city and my miles per gallon got really low compared to what it used to be. I would think that my Mpg would be better if anything due to the aerodynamics and less draft under the vehicle.. The only thing i could think that would effect it is the wheel alignment needs to be done.. but before i do it i want to know if that is the reason or should i just put back on stock suspension..
PS; On the highway its around the same miles per gallon as it used to be |
Do an alignment a few check your psi
|
Aerodynamiclly, if it was to have an effect it would be at higher highway speeds, not in the city. Could be a change in driving style, are you more careful at bumps and curbs, do you drive slower or brake at road conditions you would have earlier just "sailed" over?

How hard are you hitting the go pedal now that you did Remus + Xpipe dude.
It's not from the Bc could lol |
Lol I drive the same , I drove with the xpipe for a month or so, and the mileage didn't start dropping until I put in the coils last week, as far as bumps yeah I dodge them more .. I kinda thought the body weight was more down on the ground which would cause the car the drag and leave me with worse mpg

What's the mpg difference?
|
Keep in mind it also did cool down alot the past few days... Here in long island and nyc the high is barely above 32F today. Thats probably why.

I don't expect alignment to be the cause but any change in vehicle height changes the alignment so you do need have it aligned at the new height regardless. |
If your alignment is off your tires can be fighting against each other, dramatically reducing their efficiency.
