Went full circle

I guess I hadn't had my full dose of the 4.8is when I sold my Lemans. I bought an 08 Monaco Blue 750i Sport which was a great car and one that I thoroughly enjoyed but it had the misfortune of meeting its maker and I decided to back track back to a 4.8 since any other car I want is $40k + and I can't justify spending that kind of $ right now.

Guidelines for purchase were that it had to be under 75k, 06, and not black or Lemans. I realized this was tough once I started looking and couldn't find any that met my criteria but, luckily, on the day I was going to throw in the towel I found a 06 Silver/Black fully optioned (minus nav) 4.8iS with 59k. I flew to NC and drove it home last weekend. The car has been great (minus scoring me a speeding ticket the first night I had it). I am purchasing a complete extended warranty for it in the next couple of days and have quite a few things planned for serious mods but not until spring.

Mods so far:
- Roof Rail Delete
- 30mm Rear Spacers
- Debadge (and removed the disgusting painted pin stripe it had)
- BMW/Weathertech Deep All season mats
- lowering links since I have them laying around and don't have constant access to GT1 to play with height (installing Saturday)
- xpipe (installing Saturday)
- LED bulbs (installing Saturday)
- 6k Fogs (installing Saturday)
- 20mm front spacers (installing Saturday)
- Ceramic Pads F&R

Also have an MTX 9500, JL 1000.1, and am ordering an N6 after the holidays to cover audio.

Needless to say I'm happy to be back in one.

I KIND of miss it because of the mods but this one is just as clean, two years younger, with 30k less miles, AND i've had 4 blue cars in a row so I needed a break . Don't worry this one won't disappoint.

I was at show and shine parked on the street directly in front of you and Martins e39 (:wow:) with the 7. Surprised you didn't see it. My friend was gawking over your car but I couldn't find you and we left pretty fast.

Welcome back!

Can't wait to see how this one turns out. I remember you from back in the BFC days on the E34 forums and always loved what you did with yours.

Which lowering links are you using? I don't have GT1 to play around with either. :(
